Why did you join Business Data Partners (BDP)?

I joined BDP because of the variety of roles and the strong values of the company. It is special that a company can have both exciting opportunities and people that care and carry the same values. BDP is exactly that.

What’s the most challenging part of your role?

The most challenging part of my role has been managing stakeholders. This is an art of its own. Adapting not only to your client environment but to each individual stakeholder is extremely demanding. You have to be flexible and open-minded when approaching both technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand their requirements for the best outcome of the project. Organisational culture and processes within the business makes this task even more challenging. Listening & understanding of the client’s requirements is critical to making the work we do a success.

What has been your greatest achievement so far in your career with BDP?

One of greatest achievements is my own growth. I keep surprising myself with what I can do when I give 100% effort and dedication.  In my most recent project I have developed SAS code and a new Dashboard from scratch which I’m very proud about. I’ve had fantastic recognition from senior stakeholders which is a great achievement so early on in my career.

What support have you received to help you progress and develop?

I have received a lot of support from my Graduate Mentor, Line manager, Graduate Programme Manager, HR and many other people around the company. There is a huge support network; people in this organisation always answer your questions, no matter how small they may seem.

What do you like most about your role?

Diversity- no day is the same. You always meet new people and are exposed to different challenges and technologies. It is very exciting and it definitely gets me out of bed in the morning!
