Meet Stevie, part of the 2018 Graduate intake now a BDP Graduate Consultant working as part of our Edinburgh team.

Why did you apply to Business Data Partners (BDP)?

I was in my final year of university and being honest I hadn’t decided what I wanted to do after university so I attended my university’s careers fair to learn more about what options were available to me as an honours year business degree student. Here is where I met the graduate programme team from BDP and they stood above the rest with their personal, energetic and open approach to discussing the graduate programme they had available. I even got to speak directly to a current graduate who was in attendance to find out his perspective of what it has been really like!

How did you find the recruitment process?

I was encouraged to apply after meeting the graduate recruitment team at the university careers fair. The application process was simple: online application, aptitude tests and an assessment day in the local BDP office. The assessment day was surprisingly fun! Erin and the assessors put you at ease from the beginning of the day to ensure we presented the best version of ourselves. The day was very informative, challenging and interesting all in one.

Do BDP offer any special perks that their competitors may not?

One of the unique perks that BDP has to offer is their BDP+ programme which is a rewards and recognition programme where employees become eligible for a paid 3 month sabbatical or cash bonus equivalent once they reach the threshold of the points-based system. We’ve recently had the first 3 consultants gain the reward 😊

We also have a great work life balance with monthly socials, Christmas parties and an inter-office football tournament.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

In my spare time I mostly enjoy getting involved with football or cricket! Other than that, I enjoy playing the piano and going to pub quizzes!
